Books by bloggers: my new faves

This weekend I bought myself a present. I finally got my hands on a copy of Dinner A Love Story by the incredibly talented and hilarious Jenny Rosenstrach. Do you know it? If you're familiar with her blog by the same name, then you already know how amazing all of her recipes are and how they make cooking for a family a breeze. I have yet - and I mean this sincerely - to find a recipe on her blog that we haven't completely devoured at our house. That's saying a lot because I use her recipes pretty much daily.

Her book is fantastic! Laugh-out-loud funny and the recipes are fool-proof. If you don't have it, buy it! If you don't already read her blog, you gotta fix that and check it out here.

Not only do I love the recipes she comes up with, but I really like the idea of supporting bloggers as they continue to succeed. The way I see it is that every blogger starts off with only a few readers (likely their husbands and mothers), and as I'm finding, it takes patience and perseverance to get more people tuning in. Jenny started there too, and I love how she's succeeded doing what she loves.

I'm a big fan of two other books written by bloggers that cater to the interior design junkies out there! Design Sponge at Home by Grace Bonney of the hugely popular Design Sponge blog, and Decorate by Holly Becker of Decor8 fame. Both these ladies have taken blogging to another level, and their books are a testament to their hard work. And they're awesome!

It's impossible to be bored when you own these books. They're great for flipping through anytime you need a lift. Next time you're at the bookstore, have a browse at these titles and let me know what you think.
