A summer cocktail colour wheel

7.13.2012

Yay, it's Friday! Anybody else planning on celebrating the weekend with a nip or two of something grown-up?

My go-to cocktail of choice is usually a gin and tonic, but everywhere I look there are recipes for such amazing summer cocktails that I'm thinking this week I might need to shake things up. The designer in me couldn't help but notice that with all the colourful recipes, you can work your way through the entire colour wheel if you want to (primary, secondary AND tertiary colours).

So spin the wheel to find the perfect weekend cocktail!

Do you guys have any go-to cocktails that you could recommend to those of us in a bit of a rut? I'm all ears!

Have a great weekend. See you back here on Monday.

Links to the recipes clockwise from 'red'.
Claret Cup; Dark & Stormy; Crowning Glory; The Tart Marg; Dancing Queen; Canadian Julep; Kiwi Caipirinha; Catalina Margarita; Blue Heaven; Berry Spritzer; Fusion Bubbles; Pretty in Pink.
