I've been in cottage country this week soaking up the sun lakeside and enjoying every second of quality time with my family. There are 14 of us here which makes for lots of energy and many, many trips to the grocery store, but there is really nothing like being in this part of the world. It's magical here.
I've been trying to take advantage of nap time by doing a few cottage crafts and some reading. I finished The Paris Wife last night and I'm a bit shaken by it. I thought it was so sad. Has anyone read it?
I also experimented with marbelizing paper with nail polish. Have you tried it? I've got to work on my technique, but the finish when it's dry is really nice. It's got a lovely shine and it seems quite hard. I'm hoping to play around with different applications back in the city.
I hope everyone in Canada had a wonderful Canada day, and that all American readers enjoy their 4th of July celebrations tomorrow.
Here's to summer!
